Fill
----
The Jug icon in Menu 3. With a left-click it floods the area
indicated by the cursor, with your chosen fill-pattern. The
default pattern is selected in the Fills control box, third from
the left on the Icon-bar. It is not always necessary to go to the
control box to chose a different fill. After clicking on the jug,
a press on the HELP key calls up a box containing the patterns
for selection. You must, however, re-select a pattern each time
you want it - the fill reverts to default after each usage.
If you click on a fill in the smaller, editable, selection it gets
copied into the bottom-right position in the main fills selection.
You have to chose in the Fills control box whether to have Dither
or Halftone as one of the fill options. Whichever you have opted
for will come up in the Help key's selector. Graduated Gray is
only available from the Fills control box; if this has been set
and you follow the Jug+HELP routine, no selector will appear.
The range for Graduated Gray can be adjusted in the Fills control
box: 'A' is the paler end and 'E' the darker in a range of 0-64.
The larger set of fill patterns are not editable, nor are the
halftones, grays or dithers. The smaller set of patterns can be
edited in the Fills control box. A new fill pattern can be drawn,
or copied from the picture (click on 'Read-In' then left-click the
square grabber over the area of picture you want to copy). You
can Save your new fill-patterns; but so as not to lose those you
already have (by over-writing) remember to give the saved file a
new name.
Another choice to be made in the Fills control box is whether the
controls 'Filled' and 'Framed' are switched Off or On.
These settings are mentioned elsewhere, in relation to other
graphic functions of the program.
Screen-Saver
------------
Not automatic. Bottom box on the left in Menu 3, will black-off
the screen display till any key or mouse button is pressed.
Undo
----
As with the UNDO key on the computer, undoes the effects of the
last operation.
GPL
---
If you have one of the GPL program routines loaded and selected in
the GPL Editor, this will start it running. Sometimes it may be
necessary to hit ESCAPE once a program is finished, or to stop it
running at some point (eg. when it has drawn what you require but
has not yet completed its run).....a message-box tells you there
is an error and a user-abort. Left-click on 'ABORT' and you are
returned to the GPL Editor; then right-click to exit to the page.
